Angry Birds Books – Review

We received an envelope this week that made the book worms very happy, it contained two books for them to get their noses into!

Angry Birds is very popular. Although the kids have only played it a handful of times they still recognise the characters everywhere we go, and they love them!  They were very happy to find that the characters are now in books too!

Red BIrd to the Rescue is a board book with a puppet of Red bird through the book that you can put your fingers in and control him. Mouse Loves it. The book tells the story of Red Bird saving the day, along the way there are counting questions for the reader which are great to keep Mouse feeling like she was part of the reading. This book is perfect for Mouse as she is really getting into her numbers!

Angry Birds Books!

The Angry Birds Playground Ca-Cool Counting Book is a fantastic pop up counting book. It has a great story that rhymes and is a lot of fun. The pop up pages and the lift up tabs are great too and really add to the book! Again Mouse loves this book!

Both books are a bit young for Monkey, but he would not let this deter him. Having just finished Reception at school he is really into his reading, so he used the opportunity to practice his words and read to Mouse. This was awesome, an act to melt mummy’s heart, it raised Monkey’s confidence in his reading skills and made Mouse Smile that her brother wanted to read with her!

This is a fantastic range and although I don’t want to mention the C word that may happen in the last month of the year, I can see these books being in many a stockings!

Disclaimer: I was sent these books for the purpose of this review, however this has no bearing on our thoughts, we remain 100% honest.

They look great – I love books that ‘do’ things – and Angry Birds really suits books that ‘do’ things 😀
