Country Kids

As we were in the house this afternoon we all started to suffer from cabin fever, I was tired (ok, I may have had a little nap on the sofa), the kids were starting to get agitated and Daddy, well he wasn’t too bad but it wouldn’t be bad before he started to feel like the need to has some fresh air!

So, we jumped in the car and headed to a local country park, we took nothing but ourselves and a few pennies for an ice cream. As soon as we arrived Monkey and Mouse were running free and in the distance they saw a park.

It is a great park that has just had an upgrade, it looks like a castle, with slides and zip lines, things to climb and look through. It really is fantastic. To get to the park you have to go down a grassy hill, well there is only one way to get down a grassy hill!

Yep, the only way to get down is to roll down! They loved it so much they kept running back up to have another go, the hill isn’t perfectly smooth, so at times they were curving and coming to a stop sideways on, but this just filled them with laughter!

It made me think back to when I loved rolling down hills, I remember in school there was a small hill and some days it was allowed to roll down and some it wasn’t; not sure whether this was to do with the weather or the teacher that was on, but I remember feeling free!
