Country Kids

Monkey, Mouse and I have been away this week.  A while ago I signed up to help on a residential holiday for some local children and with Daddy being at work it meant that the children were coming with me.

They were a bit younger than the age group going but it did not stop them from joining in at all! They was loads to do including lots of outdoor stuff.

There were crafts galore, signing, dancing and activities, there was a sports hall for all things sporty and then a massive outdoor area with Bouncy Castle Slide, climbing frame, monkey bars and zip line, swings and more games and fun!

The kids (all of them, not just monkey and the mouse) absolutely loved being outdoors.

At the end of the trip I asked the kids what their favourite part was and the answer was ……. the bonfire. On Tuesday night, we all sat around the bonfire singing songs. It was great and really took me back to being a kid.

Singing songs like ‘Oh you’ll never get to heaven in a biscuit tin’ made me smile as I remembered singing them when I was little and I was watching the smiles on the children’s faces as they sang along too.IMAG1768

Bonfire sing-song sessions are lovely for quality time and bonding and I had forgotten that, we had a great time being in the great outdoors, warming ourselves by the fire and generally having funCountry Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall
