#GothGirlReadingClub with Come Round

We were lucky enough to be a part of #GothGirlReadingClub this weekend thanks to ‘Come Round’, so I thought I would tell you a little about it. The kids were happy when the party pack arrived – mainly because it included two of their favourite things – Books and Baking!

I was happy as nothing goes better with a good book than a nice sweet snack and i love spending time with the kids baking, it is real quality time. Added to that there is something about the kids diving into books that gives me a real ‘Proud mummy moment’!20562998_10159189785940445_197802452_n

Both of my kids are bookworms and are ready to dive into a book at any time! They were very excited with the party pack and having new books to read.

But first we got to baking…

The Goth Girl series is written by bestselling author and illustrator Chris Riddell,  The star of the books is Ada Goth, you canf follow her as she has adventures including meeting the ghost of a mouse, helping host a fete worse than death and making friends.

We received Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse by Chris Riddell (paperback edition) and Goth Girl and the Fete Worse than Death by Chris Riddell  (paperback edition) in our party pack, along with some samplers to give away! It didn’t take long for people to dive into reading them! So far the opinion is that they are fun books and reading them with biscuit in hand is even better!

I have to be honest; we did what we are told not to and we judged these books by their cover; their covers gave a promise that they would be a great read – so far, so good! We have a bit to go but so far I am told that they are good books, fun to read and they definitely want to read more!
