We have read a few of Oliver Jeffers books and we have loved them, he has a lovely way of writing that keeps the children stuck to the book the whole way through and they often ask to read again straight away. This year has seen the 10th anniversary of ‘How to Catch a Star’
“Once there was a boy and the boy loved stars very much. Every night he watched the stars from his window and wished he had one of his very own…”
The story is everything you would expect from an Oliver Jeffers book, the story is lovely and one the little ones can relate to, okay they may not want a star of their own, but there is something isn’t there, something they will search for and try different ways to get.
The illustrations are amazing, they have the unique style you won’t find anywhere else, they are fun and they match the story perfectly.
I would love to have half the talent that this Author and Illustrator has! Both the Monkey and the Mouse Love this story (and Oliver’s other titles that we have), I think we are going to end up with a Oliver Jeffers Library soon!
