We have all played the game, at work, at home, even in the pub – What would you spend it on if you won the lottery?
Well Britmums have asked just that too, they want to know what people would spend £20,000 on.
I love dreaming about what we as a family could have if we had a few extra pennies, I even have a pinterest board of my Dream House Contents . It is never anything too out of the ordinary, well apart from the cinema we would have in the house and the swimming pool shaped like a guitar!
So what would I spend £20,000 on?
So in the dreams I have about winning money I buy real treats; a little Peugeot 107 just for me to nip to the shops in and have with me at work for getting around to meetings, it would be my first brand new car.
For us all there would be a luxurious corner sofa, cool print chair and funky bookshelf as furniture. A Family holiday, day trips on a merlin pass and shopping for family fun!
A Mac book pro would be the hubby’s (well I guess he has to have something for him). The kids would get their own personal pirate ship for the garden and a set of funky soft play!
The extra bits; clothes, wine, sweets, phone would be all essential you know!?
But then I guess if it was ever to actually happen,
It wouldn’t then be a dream would it, it would be reality and the sensible me would kick in. We would buy the things we needed, a family car for us to travel safely in, a bed because the slats broke, a hoover because ours has almost seen it’s day and a dining room table to fit more folk around it! The essentials would be the kids clothes and storage. The tablets would be a treat for the kids, because they deserve it.
We would probably buy Christmas too, a new tree would be nice, but get the pressies and food sorted.
Of course me and hubby would still get a treat, wine for me – cake for him!
This post is an entry for BritMums #Spend20K Challenge sponsored by The National Lottery, with more ways to win more money on the new Lotto game.

Great choices, I’m just like you in that I would go for the sensible options rather than what I dream about.

To be honest I am at a point in my life where a decent dining room table and a hoover that works is part of a dream! Sad I know!
Yes, we dream but when we have cash spare it goes on making the children happy. That’s probably as it should be and dreams are fun in themselves.
Commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part.

Thank you for the comment. To be honest part of the dream is always to make the kids smile, so would be all good! 🙂
