Mother’s Day

I had an awesome Mother’s Day!

The day all started, with that most important lie in, and a cup of coffee in bed! Then hubby took the kids out this morning and I cleaned the kitchen!! (ok, I can see your faces – I will explain). Once they were back, we had picnic (in the house) lunch and then OH, Legs and I made some masks and did some crafty bits (while Mouse had a nap).  Then it was tea time, so I cooked a meal for us whilst hubby watched his second footy match on TV.

We finished off the day with cuddles and books! Perfect.

Ok, so now the explanation – this might not sound like the perfect Mother’s day to most, but every other day I don’t get to do this, I work full time and my hours change, I don’t always get to cook a meal or clean (you know, like really clean). I enjoy watching my family have fun – hence the footy on TV and the crafts. So, today was great, I loved doing what a mum does – after all that is what Mother’s day is about, isn’t it?!

I can see where you are coming from, I had a perfect day too and also cooked all the meals, my kids even dressed up for dinner to make it special and helped wash up. I work from home so I do see them but I work long hours and time off with them is special. I love your day and I bet your kids did too!
