Q and A Meme

The lovely Notsupermum has tagged me in a meme with the Q & A in the weekend Guardian Magazine! So here is a bit about me!

Which living person do you most admire, and why?

Ooo that’s a tough one! I am not even sure I can get an answer. ‘Most’ makes it tough! I admire strong woman, I admire men who support their families and I admire people who are true to themselves and stick to their morals/beliefs no matter what!

When were you happiest?

Driving to my wedding, I knew I was about to marry the man I wanted to be with, in front of everyone I cared about! It was the start to my ‘ever after’

What was your most embarrassing moment?

Well, I have a few of those, I could tell you about the time I headbutted a shop window by accident, or the time I fell over on ice. But instead I think it was when I was in a cash and carry and I hit one of those ‘punch bag’ type people model things, and it went over and made the biggest noise ever!!

Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought?

I really don’t know, I can only think of laptop (more expensive than my car), honeymoon (much more than we would spend on a regular holiday) or Ipod for my hubby!

What is your most treasured possession?

Don’t laugh, but it is a cuddly Giraffe. My OH bought it for me our first Christmas together and it has lived with us since!

Where would you like to live?

In a farm house, with a bit of land, great views, country air and some outbuildings! Not really sure about where the house would be, but it would be beautiful!

What’s your favourite smell?

I love the smell of cinnimon, especially if it coming from a cake!

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Someone short! When I was younger people told me I looked like Kellie Bright from the Upper Hand, so she could!

What is your favourite book?

The Green Mile. Brings back great memories – I read it as a six part series and once I had finished a book, I would give it to my dad and he would read it! Then we would wait for the next part together!

What is your most unappealing habit?

Biting my nails!

What would be your fancy dress costume of choice?

I would say She-ra, but not sure that would suit me, so I think I would go for a Smurfette outfit!

What is your earliest memory?

Visiting Germany with my family to visit an uncle in the RAF. There was a BBQ where the wasps took over and we all go stung badly!

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Trashy TV; Four Weddings, World’s Strictest Parents, LA Ink, Don’t tell the bride, X Factor – you know the kind of thing!

What do you owe your parents?

Money mainly!

I also owe them for raising me with great morals, a heart for helping others and a lot of love!

To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why?

My parents for not always appreciating what they were doing for me!

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

My family!

What does love feel like?

Secure, fun and life-long!

What was the best kiss of your life?

The first ‘proper’ kiss after we got married, not the one when you may kiss the bride, the first real one – Amazing!

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

What is the worst job you’ve done?

Cold calling selling windows, I lasted four hours before I walked out, really didn’t like the way it worked and it was even worse than when I had to dress as Donald Duck to give out leaflets on a high street!!

If you could edit your past, what would you change?

The really bad haircut I had at about 15, it was awful (No, you can’t see the pics)

What is the closest you’ve come to death?

Hmmm, I have been lucky not to come that close, I did need a blood tranfusion once.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Giving Birth!

When did you last cry, and why?

Randomly it was last Saturday in Tesco as I was buying a box of green tea! I was getting it to take to work with me and it hit me bad I was returning to work on Monday! Luckily I was wearing sunglasses!

How do you relax?

With a hug from hubby and the kids, followed by a glass of red wine, trashy tv and chilling on the sofa!

What single thing would improve the quality of your life?

Sadly, it would have to be money!

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

You can’t make rainbows without rain (or to put it more simply life is full of ups and downs – we usually get a share of both!)
