It is getting to that time of year when the night have drawn in and everyone is looking for something to do to entertain the children and to entertain the parents, without being able to venture outside at any time you please! We are a game loving family, you will often find us on an evening playing games with The Monkey and The Mouse, it is a great bonding time. We have fun and generally just use it as time together. We also love to play games with the adult relatives too; a quiz over a couple of drinks on a Saturday night. A board game to have a laugh too with some nibbles! We often buy games as presents for Christmas too, it is nice to give the gift of fun and if it is something for all, we get them out on Christmas night or Boxing day and play together too! This year we have a new game to play; we have the Beano Stuck Up Game from Presents for Men!
Yep – The Beano!! I was so excited when it arrived, I was in the Beano Fan Club hen I was child – I still have my Gnasher badge too! The game is part of a Vintage Games Collection and is perfect for anyone who grew up with Dennis and Gnasher!
This game comes in a fantastic tin, which shows Dennis with a card on his head! Well the game does exactly what it says on the tin! Inside the tine there are 4 elastic headbands and 108 Stuck up! cards. You pop on a headband and slip a card into it (without looking at it), so you look like Dennis on the packaging. You then have to ask questions, using only questions that could be answered ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ until you guess what is on your card!
All the cards are either Characters or items from the Beano, which makes it an hilarious game to play! Some of the ideas that pop into your head are so far from what is on your head you can’t help but laugh! It is also so satisfying when you get one right!
The game is a little tough for Monkey at the minute, but he could play on a team with Daddy, which is one of his favourite things to do! Monkey loves the Beano and I know that in a couple of years he will be begging to play this over and over again!
For now we will play it, (well I we need the practice!), it will be coming out at Christmas with the family after the kids have gone to bed, and us grown ups will have a giggle!
Do I recommend the game? Yes! It is a lot of fun, it has a topic that stretches generations, the tin is a great storage container and it is a great price to!!
