Review – Teapigs Iced Tea

When I was a student (quite a few years ago) I drank quite a lot of a certain brand of lemon iced tea. But since then I haven’t drank it, nowadays I have a need for an instant caffeine kick so I tend to edge towards a black coffee or a very hot cuppa tea!

But, it is nearly summer (I do have my fingers firmly crossed after seeing a glimpse of the golden sun this weekend) so iced tea is really a perfect drink to have to celebrate the arrival of the season, sat in the garden, shorts on, nice jug of iced tea to share with friends, just have to pick a flavour and get it made.

Well it appears the TeaPigs has the answered with their wide range of flavours to choose from, there must be one for everyone – right?! Well, actually yes!

Teapigs sent me some of their tea and I was amazed by the flavours on offer, Peppermint, Super Fruit, Chilli Chai, Spiced Winter and more…

IMG_4594I decided I would give the Spiced Winter a try first (there was a lovely smell of cinnamon coming from the teabag, which is my favourite winter smell!

The tea bags look like little pieces of art, they are described as biodegradable “tea temple”, they are little mesh bag with lots of room for the leaves and flavours to infuse!

So the first thing to do was to cover the tea bag with warm water and leave for three minutes.

Then top up with cold water and add ice!  Don’t forget the final stages, drink and share!  Iced tea is so refreshing and the best thing is that because there are different flavours you can have a new taste every time!  I wasn’t sure the Spiced Winter would work as a summer drink, but it did. I was surprised by what you could have as an iced tea!

Is there a flavour for everyone? Well, I found a favourite for me – Chocolate flake Tea! A little bit indulgent, a lot tasty!

Next up I am off to find more cocktail ideas to make with tea!Iced Tee Trio

Disclaimer: I was sent a selection of tea bags for the purpose of this review, we have remained honest.
