Sun, Sea and …

Spain! The third S word is Spain, what did you think it was?!

I can not believe that on Sunday morning we were in Spain enjoying our last taste of the sunshine before boarding a flight back to windy old England!

The last time we were in this particular part of Spain was quite a few years ago, it is where my Dad lives and we have been desperate to take the kids out to see him. So about six weeks ago (on a bit of a whim) we booked a week for half term in an apartment around the corner from where he lives and on the 20th we boarded a plane (a first for Monkey and Mouse).

I was a bit worried about the flight being the first with the children, but I needn’t have worried, they absolutely loved it! Monkey loved looking out of the window and spotting mountains and Mouse was just happy to be in the sky, I must have heard the question ‘are we flying? Really are we?’ over 20 times through the 2 and a half hours! I was so happy they enjoyed it.

Whilst we were there we enjoyed sun, swimming pools, good food, the beach, lots of wine (well I did), more good food, loads of quality time with Dad and a spit spot of wine, oh well maybe I have said the wine but we were in Spain!

People have asked if I have felt rested after the holiday, honestly no I haven’t, trying to fit in the first family abroad holiday, visiting Family, having relaxing time and exploring is tiring work. To be frank we are shattered and probably spent too much money on deep fried cheese and lemonades, but it was completely worth it!

Anyway here are a few snapshots

Sounds like you had an amazing time, great photos and I haven’t experienced a relaxing holiday yet with my two, although we have lots of fun I feel like I need a break when I get back!

Sounds and looks as if you had a fantastic holiday. You always need a week to recover though don’t you!

Glad you had a good time and the flight went well. We really want to take the children on a plane but I don’t like new things lol. Pictures are gorgeous and holidays with the kids are never relaxing, must be nice to have seen your dad and family.
