The NIght Before Christmas – A Review

Monkey and Mouse are both really getting in the Christmas Spirit, in fact if tonight is anything to go by, I think Father Christmas may be waiting until the early hours of the morning before he can deliver anything!

Each evening in the run up we have been watching a Christmassy film or reading a Christmassy book. Tonight was the turn of ‘The NIght Before Christmas’ by Clement C Moore from Parragon.

“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse”

Clement C Moore wrote one of the most remembered and treasured Christmas poems and it is brought to life in this book!

Illustrated by Henry Fisher, the pictures are delightful and my two loved looking at every single page and talking about what they could see and the colours. It is a bright and beautiful book which will become a treasured favourite!

The other added thing is the fact that the poem has been around for so long that it feels like you are passing down a piece of your childhood. It really is a beautiful book, one of those you think you should keep away from the book shelf so it doesn’t end up ripped, but then think it needs to be read over and over!

Certainly a book to keep!
