The Space Centre with Lego Galaxy Squad

spacelego1We love spending time as a family, especially when we get to do something special. When we were lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the new Galaxy Squad lego, we quite literally could not wait!

So, last Saturday we headed down the country to The National Space Centre in Leicester.

We were greeted by a lovely cup of coffee (what mummy always needs after a trip in the car), a pastry and a first look at the new Lego range!

The Space Centre was a perfect setting for the launch, the range is a selection of space bugs, the galaxy squad heroes, robot sidekicks and double function space crafts.

The space centre is fantastic, the kids loved every minute of exploring earth, other planets, the stars and space stations! The space centre has so much to offer, both education and fun! To be honest it turned me and Daddy into big kids too…..do you know how much I weigh on Mars? No? Well good….I am not sharing my weight!!

So, what did we think of the Lego Galaxy Squad?!  I will give you one word and see if you can guess whether we liked it……the word is AWESOME!!!

Well just in case you didn’t guess, we loved it, all of us! It is a fantastic range and the detail on each and every vehicle and figure is amazing!  The range costs between £7.99 and £79.99 so there really is something for everyone.

Each Super vehicle has a split function, forming two vehicles – this is something the Monkey fell in love with straight away, his favourite was the orange Bug Obliterator; an attack ship with an armoured rover, he quite literally could have played with it all day!

Daddy loved the blue Swarm Interceptor, it has amazing detail in its detachable guns and powerful turret with hidden flick missiles.

Mouse loved, a little bit of everything. The ship from one set, the car from another, the bugs from a third!

Lego is amazing, something that grows with the family, but never grows old! We love that we can all play it together! We are grateful to have been invited to the launch and to have had a play with the range…it was briliant!

I think Father Christmas may get a list with various Galaxy Squad items on this year from Monkey, Mouse and Daddy!

Disclaimer: We were invited to the launch of the Lego Galaxy Squad and given entry to the space centre as well as goody bags for the kids for free.  However, we remain 100% honest at all times!
