What’s the story?

Back in the year 2005, the husband (or boyfriend as he was at the time) and I went on a trip with his work. We travelled to London then to Dover! Each stage required him to fulfil his role and gave me a chance to see some sights!

Once he had finished in Dover we had time to do as we pleased. We had a little look around and then went to a ‘Battle of Britain’ Memorial centre on the way to Folkestone and it was fab!

We stopped at other places in between and somewhere along the way we came across two signs, one saying ‘East’ one ‘West’. I had this photo takenWhats the story3.2.14

At the time it was just a funny photo, stood between two directions not knowing which easy to go! Fast forward to 2010 when I was just starting out in the blogging world! I was looking for something to use as my header for the blog.

I was a mum of a 21 month old, baking a baby due in three months, was still working full time, running a hobby business with hubby, nesting quite badly and quite frankly was completely knackered, so I decided the best thing for it was to start a blog! I stumbled across this photo and thought that it said it all, it was definitely how I was feeling!

I don’t feel like I have been a blogger for 5 years, I had a slow start and didn’t really get off the ground properly. I had a massive break and would only say I have felt like a blogger for two years!  But since them very early days this photo has stuck with me! Now it is a cartoon version that my very talented husband did, I still love it and still think it says how I feel – Mum to two, full time worker, volunteer, blogger, charity event co-organiser – which way am I going; East or West?

That’s brilliant! I always wondered how on Earth you decided on that header picture, although it fits perfectly with being a parent. Great #whatsthestory 😀
