Beside the Seaside…..

In the post where I told you about the main thing we did at the weekend in Scarborough, I mentioned that we had visited the beach too.

We weren’t there too long as it was the end of the second day of the trip but we made the most of our time!  It was far too cold to be swimming, or spending time sat still building sand castles, so we found other ways to have some fun!

We explored and found treasure:scarborotreasure

We drew in the sand:scarborosand

We blew bubbles and chased them:scarborobubbles

But, most of all what we did was laugh, ran, breathed in the fresh sea air, cuddled and generally just spent time together!

I did offer for the Monkey and the Mouse to go swimming, but they both declined and thought they would just keep on running to keep warm!

We headed to the car afterwards tired and ready to be home, but we had a 2 hour drive ahead.  All okay though it was filled with laughter and chatting about all the fun we had!

I am hoping to visit more seasides this year, more than we have in one year ever before, lets see how we go……

Children love the beach whatever the weather and I think you explore so much more when it’s not sunny. Drawing in the sand sounds fun!

Beaches offer so much fun and adventure for everyone! There’s always something to be discovered and rock pools to investigate and generally playing with the stones and sand which the children love. It sounds like you all had a great time, thanks for linking up and sharing your beach fun with Country Kids.

The great British weather we have to be prepared to get out there and enjoy it anyway, and it looks like you had great fun #countrykids

The beach is such a fun place to visit. I do prefer it when it’s warmer so we can have fish and chips by the shore and then ice cream for pudding.

I think it is a wise choice not to go swimming! It can be cold! Lol

Best of luck with the seasides challenge, it’s a brilliant challenge if ever there was one – especially from someone in Nottingham 🙂
