Countryside in the City

It is surprising what you find amongst the houses. We have lived here now for seven months and we are still discovering things that we didn’t know were there. The in-laws visited last weekend and we decided to go for a walk to blow off the cobwebs and get rid of some cabin fever. We followed some alley ways through the houses and came across some lovely fields and walk ways.

The kids had a great time running about and exploring behind trees and looking for treasure! Monkey was in and out of bushes, up and down hills. Mouse was spying flowers and bugs all over the place. It was a proper little nature trail.

We live on the edge of a City and you don’t really expect to find such beauty so close by, we are definitely going to keep exploring, it wasn’t so long ago we found a nature reserve around the corner too!
Do you have any hidden treasures local to you?

  4. It’s amazing what you find when you go out exploring. We’ve got lots of places nearby that we haven’t even scratched the surface of. Such a simple and fun way to spend a day.

  5. Hidden gems on your doorstep are the best discoveries aren’t they. We have a nature reserve in the middle of the next hosing estate, we don’t visit enough #CountryKids

  6. My lot love exploring the local areas and finding new hidden gems, it wasn’t long ago some of them dragged me out of the office to show me some new waterfalls they’d found about 5 minutes walk from the house. Your kids look like they’re having a great time exploring the fields and trees. There’s nothing better than finding hidden gems close to home that you can escape to for some fresh air and a run around. Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.
