Graffiti Scooter

Now I don’t have a rant very often on the blog, but I am about to have a little one!

I saw an advert for a new toy and it has really annoyed me, it is a scooter – that’s harmless enough, but this scooter is a graffiti one, as you ride it down the road it draws on the tarmac beneath you! Is it just me or is this encouraging all sorts of behaviour we don’t want?!

It may seem I am over reacting as it is chalk that attaches to the back so I guess the ‘graffiti’ will be washed away, but I am more concerned about kids getting into trouble for drawing on the pavement in town, at the school gates or wherever they may take their scooter and I am concerned due to the fact it encourages graffiti, ASBOs here we come!!

What do you think?

I thought the exact same as you! Of course my children wanted one – isn’t that what the advert wants to happen? I recoiled in horror at the very thought of allowing them to ‘cruise’ whilst leaving chalk marks all over the place – no way ever! Needless to say I am sure before the month is out the other children in the street will have one and I will once again hear ‘ but so and so has one!’ quickly followed by ‘you’re mean’ but hey I’m the parent…….

This scooter is the single most greatest invention ever! millions of research dollars and man hours have gone into how to make the humble scooter better, and this is the perfect answer.

it is my opinion that all parents should buy this scooter for their kids and help make the world a little better by laying down some colour.
