The slightly longer version is….this. Today Mouse and I had a girlie afternoon and went for haircuts. I get very nervous about having a hair cut (this dates back years and is a story for another time).
I was having regular haircuts done by a lady I trusted, but we moved and I eventually stopped travelling back to see her. I didn’t find a new one, well to be honest, I didn’t look for a new one! So this has led to approximately 4 years without a cut.
Hubby’s cousin did try, but I was so nervous that I think I made her nervous and she gave me a very (lovely) small trim around the edges. So fast forward to today, Mouse wanted a haircut and I needed one, so we decided to use her birthday as an opportunity to have girlie time!
I was browsing the internet one day and found an added motivation! The Little Princess Trust. They supply real-hair wigs to children for free and they accept donated hair. So that is what I decided I would do.
I didn’t tell many people, I wasn’t sure if I would chicken out! But I did it, today I had a fair few inches of hair chopped off and it is packaged up to send off. To top it all off with a smile, the hair cut wasn’t that traumatic either!
